Geoff’s company has serviced our home and auto loans for many, many years. They are an independent broker that can shop around. Our insurance had gone up about $1400 this year but Elkhorn Insurance was able to get us a split deductible policy which lowered our premium by about $1,000. So we have a higher deductible ($2,500) for wind or hail and $1,000 deductible for everything else. We were hitting $3,000/yr and now down to just under $1,900/yr through a major insurance carrier. It’s called a Legacy policy and we were able to get it because we had the same insurance carrier for several years. You might not be able to get it right away if you switch, but Elkhorn can give you all the best options. They are SO good at what they do.
